Dan The Man Wikia

This is one corrupt guy. Official advisor to the King, he's your loan shark, media magnate and ruthless dictator all rolled together and poured into a cheap suit. Making a living by exploiting tyrannical regimes, he only wants one thing: power.

The Advisor is a major character and the main antagonist in the first season Dan The Man web series and the game. He first appeared in Stage 5, the one who started his evil plan later on in the series, and he also appears in Frosty Plains, when he took control over Roboclaus, trying to destroy Christmas. He is a major antagonist in the Dan The Man series.

Appearance[]

The Advisor has the same outfit as the other Bankers, but he has a purple tie. Not to mention, he has an extremely receded hairline, making him nearly bald. The Advisor also has gingernut hair, making him stand out from the rest. He wears glasses that completely cover up his eyes. Also, unlike the others, he wears brown shoes, while the others wear black shoes.

History[]

Advisor and Dark Master

Stage 5[]

After Dan defeats the Dragon, he makes his debut into the series. He is seen at the party that the King held on the rooftop standing next to the Dark Master. The Waiter invited Josie to help her and the Resistance with freeing the Baby Dragon. The Advisor, aware, sent Dark Master to follow them. Then, a power outage was caused by Josie and the Resistance freeing the Baby Dragon from the King's Castle.

Stage 7[]

The Advisor holds a meeting in the conference room, attended by several bankers. Presenting a slideshow showing that the castle has lost power ever since the loss of the Baby Dragon, he then asks for alternative power solutions. The Two Executives provided perfectly reasonable solutions, like solar and wind power, but the Advisor shot those ideas down in favor of a much more cruel method: kidnapping Villagers and forcing them to run on a treadmill to generate power for the castle. If the villagers (also called "peasants") didn't have enough energy to run, they will fall into a pit with full of spikes and die painfully. This plan came to fruition, where it was revealed that the Advisor was working with the Dark Master, who did most of the kidnapping for him.

The Two Executives didn't approve of this and attempted to contact the Resistance about this. However, just as they sent the message, they were found and killed by the Dark Master. The damage had already been done though, and because the remaining Villagers thought the King was in charge of everything (in reality, he was completely oblivious to it). So they blamed him and began to riot. When the Advisor heard about the riot, he ordered the King's Guards to subdue the Villagers with violence. The guards protested but reluctantly went through with it anyways, leading up to the events of the game (or Stage Eight).

Stage 8[]

JosieandAdvisor

In Stage 8, after the King is killed, the King Resistance declares that they go after the Advisor next. The Advisor is shown at the end holding gunpoint at Josie instead of Bald Geezer, when Josie snaps out of her fear, she holds the Advisor by his arms, and Dan rushes up. Dan, the Advisor, along with Josie are then killed by the King Resistance. He is revived when the stage resets, and the stage repeats again.

Stage 9[]

In Stage 9, he is seen on top of the castle gates looking over the Villagers, and when the Guards turn to him for help, he orders them to kill the Villagers with grenades. The Guards are shocked and remain hesitant with the Advisor's constant nagging.

The Advisor's ultimate fate.

After the Whistleblower exposes the Advisor's schemes to the King, he stops the Guards in time and orders them to arrest the Advisor. The Advisor summons the Dark Master to kill the Guards and the King. The Light Master intervenes after the Guards are slain, and they both disappear in the ensuing battle. Undeterred, the Advisor calls for an airlift and personally shoots the King, only to be foiled by the Whistleblower, who leaps and takes the bullet. Though he initially escapes, he presumably dies when his helicopter is cornered and blasted to oblivion by the dragons.

Episode appearances[]

Games[]

Dan The Man[]

Like the video, he plays a very minor role. In the official game, the Advisor isn't seen until the game's last level, where he is seen holding the Bald Geezer hostage on the rooftop amid all the chaos, with Josie and Dan trying to rescue the Bald Geezer. The Advisor, along with Josie and the Bald Geezer, are shot by the King Resistance, starting the final boss fight.

He appeared again in the DLC campaign, Frosty Plains. He was the main antagonist once more in this adventure, and as the controller of Roboclaus, whom is a boss fight. When he villagers asked why there are goons, the Advisor said that there won't be any Christmas or presents. He ordered the troops to attack the villagers. He pulled out a remote to control Roboclaus and made it became evil. Then, he took off just as soon as Dan arrived.

Main article: Roboclaus

Once defeated, the Advisor ran away to a helicopter in front of him. Before he left, his glasses shined just before he took off, possibly meaning that he could return.

Personality[]

The Advisor does whatever it takes to rake in the most profit possible, just like most corrupt CEOs. He is shown in the series having smart and evil ideas for making a ton of profit. He hires the Dark Master to kidnap villagers for his plan. The Bankers mindlessly approve of his plan, but two bankers do not approve of it.

While the Advisor is the main antagonist, he does not have much presence in the game. However, he does make an appearance in the Frosty Plains story DLC. He is once again the antagonist, and takes control of Roboclaus, a Christmas sentry robot, and flies off with him to cause havoc.

Trivia[]

  • For a brief moment in Stage 7, he has gray hair when he is shaking the Executive's hand. It is most likely a visual mistake.
    • It also shows that his sprite is an edit of the other banker with the same exact hair and grey hair.
  • In both the web series and the game, the Advisor is the main antagonist in all of his appearances, yet has very little screen time.
  • Despite his extensive schemes, the Advisor's true motives remain unknown.
  • In the web series, he is sometimes seen walking with black shoes, despite wearing brown shoes. This is most likely another visual mistake in the original sprites.
  • The pistol he uses is possibly an Ekol Firat, and the helicopter he owns is a Robinson R22 model.
  • He always wears glasses covering his eyes, compared to the other characters, and his eyes are never revealed.
  • In the game, he doesn't cross his arms behind his back.
  • In Frosty Plains, if the player activates the Tiny Custom Character Easter Egg, the Advisor will become tiny along with Roboclaus, due to the boss being built with Spine.
